Daniel Series

Does God know the future before it happens? Does God also reveal that information to His people? The book of Daniel answers those two questions with a resounding, "Yes!" As with Noah of old, knowing the future before it happens brings with it a certain responsibility. It gives direction, guidance, and purpose to our lives that when understood by faith will cause us to make more appropriate choices and to take the appropriate actions to be prepared for what is coming! It also helps us to prepare others. It gives us true guidance. God has therefore revealed to His people various events of the future in both broad and detailed spectrum. He wants us to know that we can trust Him and His word. He also wants us to be ready for what is coming, and to help others get ready as well. God reveals His plans, the workings of man, and also the deceptions of Satan so that we may safely navigate through the dangerous waters of this world and successfully reach the pearly gates of Heaven as an overcomer anchored in Christ Jesus. The two books of Daniel and Revelation give us just such a perspective that will lead us safely home in God. Daniel (written by Daniel around 605-535 BC) gives the prophetic keys and basis for understanding The Revelation (the last book of the Bible, written down by the Apostle John, while exiled on the island of Patmos in the Agean sea, cir. A.D. 90). Revelation also gives some more insights into Daniel's prophecies because in some places it really sheds some more light on the picture. While Revelation focuses from the time of Rome right on down to the Second Coming of Jesus and the end of the 1000 years, Daniel focuses from the time of Ancient Babylon (600 B.C.) to the time of Christ's second coming! May you be richly blessed as you prayerfully study the holy pages of this book--a book that even Jesus himself quoted and taught from in the first century A.D. (Matthew 24:15)!
